Loving Virginia is loving their incredibly gorgeous barns so it is no wonder that as wine lovers we love our wine tasting barns too. On our recent Loudoun County Wine Trail tour we trekked into Hamilton, Virginia to photograph Hunters Run Wine Barn, a fun, feisty and unique wine tasting barn. It is filled with equestrian gear and interesting conversation pieces to enjoy as you sip the wines of choice. Owner Geri Nolan and her sister Anne (hailing from County Limerick Ireland) and staff greet their visitors with hospitality, excellent service and fun conversation.
The Wine Tasting menu offers choices of Aged Viognier, Rose, Riesling, Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, Reds, Traminette, as well as Sangria. Our choice: Hunters Run Cabernet Franc: Tasting Notes: Smooth, medium body with raspberry and cherry flavors fall into a spicy pepper finish.
